Aby's Harrison Vacation

2003

Aby at 8 years old.

There was much swimming, including two dips in the pool at The1886 Crescent Hotel,
Eureka Springs, and several at the Harrison Community Center.  There were also several visits to the
balcony restaurant at The1905 Basin Park Hotel, in Eureka Springs
.

Aby poses (in her Magic scarf) at the fountain in Crescent Park.

We had fun on a buggy ride (under a full moon) through Eureka Springs, with Andy the horse.
We sang every song we knew, and our driver applauded after each tune.

Dinosaurs were cool, but the largest attraction was the 7 story tall, King Kong.
Aby is standing on the left, at his feet.

There was a lot to see at Dinosaur World, but some of the monsters were pretty cute!

What's a shoe tree?  We found out.  This one is just outside Eureka Springs near Beaver Lake,
(but there are others all over the US) and Aby added her blue pair to the hundreds already hanging from the branches.
(Nannie's dryer had destroyed one shoe, so new shoes were bought to replace them.
What better end for a pair of demolished sneakers?)

No trip to Harrison would be complete without spending time with the Great Grands,
'Little Nannie' and Papa (Herlein,) ................

.........and of course, Jojo, the Wonder Dog, sporting
his new sun visor Aby found at the Street Festival in Berryville.

And there's always time to spend with old friends,
Austin and Emily, on Nannie's hammock.

See ya next year!!!
