                 Often the color of the wood helps.        ANRI wood is usually a deep honey color.

                                                       
                     They ARE alike in shape and size but the real difference is in the quality of the carving.
                     ANRI faces are more lifelike....more detailed.  Note: Some ANRI sets have the metal brads
                     holding tops to bottoms, but not all.  Also, originally, ANRI items had a label, or they may be
                     stamped ITALY.  But, not always.   It's best to learn to tell with or without labels and marks.
