ANRI
Bar Sets
Continued.......
So
you think you know the "Monk on a Barrel"? Think again.
A sailor on a barrel, and three monks in bright clothes.
Remember, no two are exactly alike and there
are no rules. That's what makes collecting
vintage ANRI so much fun!
Okay, lets go to the next "common" set.
The '3 Musicians' set is fairly easy to find. I have 5 or 6,
and have traded away a couple more.

There are 6 examples of the 'Three Musicians.'
About the only consistent thing is that there are three characters and
that the middle one is playing a stringed instrument. Most of the
time the "side men" will have their hands in their pockets, and sometimes
one will have a bottle under his arm... but not always.
The oldest of these are the ones with bottles.
As you can see, the same "no rules" rule applies. Different hats,
clothing, faces, expressions, guitars, mandolins, banjos, shapes, ties,
etc.
In the middle row, far right, note the music box/suitcase
behind the figures. When you remove the head of the center man the
music box plays. The bar implements include a cap lifter, a corkscrew
and a bottle stopper.
